I would love to do a completely period feast! Problem is our vegetarians and vegans would probably die. If we could get everyone to eat it I'm down to do it!

Perhaps something more Bedouin for the vegans? A water- or veggie broth-prepped (as opposed to chicken) couscous and hummus? Falafel, even?

Goose - perhaps we can try a few things at Market Faire.  I have Richard II's cook book, or rather recipes served in his court.  I'll bring it to the May Event for your perusal.

I was thinking that the meat pies would be a great market faire item - you could make them up ahead of time, freeze them for transport, and just bake them on site.  I'm looking forward to cooking the honey chicken recipe myself.  Thanks for the find Dan!

Goose I also have four books with recipes created for the Dragonlance fantasy setting. It's where I got the various goblin ball snacks from. If you like I can bring them for you to look through as well for ideas. I believe one of them even has a plan for a full knightly feast.

Back in October I think, Lauren, aka Amalthea brought meat pies to market faire that, even thothey were a little burnt, were still good.  I fully encourage anyone interested in making them to do so.  I've also been considering making a KR version of a garbage plate (a Rochester specialty) and testing it on acouple people.  It may put you in a food coma, but it's ridiculously tasty.
