QUIZ was created by geezer (geezer)
Its been two years since my last quiz (won by Jackie).

This time, I decided to try to come up with one that is at least semi-Google proof. I am certain you guys will let me know.

I am so confident that no one will get them all, that if anyone does, they can invite a guest. No collaborating on your honor. Answers should be sent to me via PM. Winner gets treated to dinner at the "good" restaurant.

Quiz

1 – Captain Langsdorf commanded Graf Spee.
Explain the significance of the circumstances and setting of his death.

2 – The Deutchland class has been historically called “pocket battleships.” Explain. Include why Deutchland was renamed as well as the new name

3 – Provide the context to the phrase "The wife of Caesar must be above suspicion. I've told this a few times at Sac.

4 – In her brief active career, Battleship Bismarck lived at the margins of high improbability. Explain.

5 - How might history been changed had Moses Miamonides consented to be the personal physician of Richard II? His reply when asked is also a gem. Bonus points if provided. (reasonable paraphrasing is acceptable)

6 – Upon whom was the first recorded autopsy performed?

Edwin Haroldson
Loremaster
Master of the Mages' Guild

Am keeping it open until I return from hospital on the 25th. Will review all answers and will close it our on the 29th, along with my version of the correct answers. Thus far, three entrants and no one has a lock.

I was abstaining from this one, as I still remember the answers that won it for me the last time you posted this exact quiz.

The only one that wasn't a repeat was the one about Ceasar's wife.

Vince, you probably recall me boring you to tears with the recounting of these. 4 have not appeared here before, unless I am gently slipping into senility as well as grouchy old age.

All repeats, though I wouldn't say you'd bored me, since I remembered the answers from 3 years ago. At the time, the only one I missed was the one about Miamonides.
