GI Joe movie was created by Janus (Janus)
Ok, I'm not sure how accurate this is since I can't find the official website for it, but according to Yahoo and IMDB the kid from that was in Third Rock from the Sun is playing Cobra Commander.

Clint, please tell me its not true!

Actually, the kid grew up to be a pretty decent actor.  Check out the movie, The Lookout or Brick.  Both have him in a starring role and they are pretty dark and off-the-wall movies.

Though I agree that having him as Cobra Commander doesn't fit right at all...

Yes, it is true, but remember this. Cobra Commander is always in a mask of some sort, it won't matter what the kid will look like

I'm told Destro is more of the main villain in the first movie so no worries.
As far as the actor is concerned hes done alot of work.

Just watch something that isn't third rock with him in it before you go see GI-joe (Like brick)
So the idea of him being a hormonal teenager is out of your mind :P

Though it is not the live action movie... there is a new GI Joe cartoon movie/web-series/series going to be coming out on Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network.  It looks to be more grown up as people will get killed and die.

Video preview link here.

harrison ford General Hawk?

the costuming looks cool..and very plausible for near future special ops gear.. however I would be MUCH happier if they had the costuming that they did in the 80's cartoon.. but u cant get everything.. i will be hoping that this isnt a flop... and they put just as much money into a good script as they seem to have into costuming.. and probably have into sp & cgi fx

Umm... Harrison Ford... iconic actor... Han Solo... Indiana Jones... Mr. President (Air Force One)... Jack Ryan...

Umm... Dennis Quaid... ummm... Inner Space?

Sorry... but hands down, no contest on which actor is more iconic and recognizeable.  ;)

Ya I see some similarities.. but no... Dennis Quaid is no Harison Ford.

On the other hand, Wyonna Ryder and Kierra Knightly are indeed the same actress. After she got caught shoplifting and her career was ruined, she changed her name and stared in Pirates of the Carabian, and BAMN... everyone's fooled...

I don't see that, as Winona has boobs and Kiera doesn't.  No offense to Kiera... I think she's very attractive, but not curvaceous.

2 actors I do get confused sometimes is Christopher Meloni (from Law and Order: SVU) and Elias Koteas (various movies).
On the ladies' side... Emmanuelle Chriqui and Salma Hayek... they get me seeing double as well.

While no Harrison Ford, Quaid has had a few memorable rolls:  Great Balls of Fire, Wyatt Earp, The Right Stuff and Enemy Mine.

You'd guess at anything for cake, eh Noah.  Where in this green (sort of) earth did you come up with Wyatt Earp?  Now, i know as a [strike]hired gun[/strike] attorney, you can argue anything, but...

If no one gets it by sometime next week, I'll post the answer and eat the slice myself.  Heck, maybe give it to Noah if he continues to amuse me with his response.

Playboy it was, in the first two issues (sharing space with some pin-up named Monroe in 1948.  No one but Hefner would take a chance with such a topic from an unknown.  Playboy led the way iwith innovative fiction inthe 50s.  When my across the street neighbors (I was their regular sitter) moved, I got the first three years of PB for $10.
