Factotum
This ability allows the character to use an item for which she does not qualify to use for the duration of an encounter, or invoke one use of such an item, if it is consumable.
Periodic (Unique)
Structure System Updates
Starting this event, we are going to be introducing Structures into the game. Structures are locations on camp that confer benefits to characters that interact with them, such as the Forge, Library, Altar, or others. Some structure benefits can be used by anyone, while certain others require skills or classes in order to use.
Every structure has three ranks of benefits. The Rank I benefit can be used by anyone; the Rank II and III can only be used by a smaller set of characters, but in some cases are used to the benefit of anyone. The higher the rank, the more narrow the requirements are.
Structures are for public use and will not be given out as private items. To start, we will set up the structures that are active. We will announce their locations individually. Once we have decided for certain that we would like them to continue working this way, we will start to introduce more, including more locations for the same type of structure, which may be set up by players.
For this event, we are going to be introducing the Altar and Healing Phokus structures. More will be introduced in the coming months. Please note that these mechanics will not be in the rulebook, as they are essentially artifacts that we may want to improve upon in the future, and they will be printed and available at each structure site. The mechanics of these two structures are listed below.
Rank II: Tithing
Any Priest or Cleric can tithe 10 Gold or an item of equal value at the altar to create Holy Water. Doing so requires the character to spend five or more minutes collecting the water.
