Merrin Tellinghast
Al Mone as Merrin Tellinghast. Al showed a different side of Merrin this event. His character stepped up at the trial and did a really good job defending someone he may have been at odds with, in the name of helping to move closer to a fair and just trial. In regards to the Malycite Simon he at first did not have any interest in redeeming; Merrin had a slow and gradual realization that such a thing was possible, no matter how unlikely. It was a lesson that helped him learn that if he could temper his military side just a little bit, he could work towards the single greatest feat for the force of good: which is rescuing a soul that has been captured by darkness and for a priest there is no greater victory. This weekend we saw more of Merrin's priestly side than the clerical side. His benediction at the feast was great, but his participation in the redemption ceremony and the sacred heart mass was even better! He did an especially great job when asked to tell the crowd about Simon and how he came to be redeemed that night. Awesome job Al! We'd also like to give a nod to Goose as Fim the Satyr. He is doing such a great job, it has been said "He really IS a satyr!" I'm sure we'll all be hearing more about him very soon...
Brendan O'Hara
Brendon as Simon the Malycite. He really stepped up and breathed life into a role he only had a short time to plan for. Taking this role up Saturday morning with ten minutes notice, he ran with it like an Olympian carrying the torch until late Saturday night. There was great depth to this character. He played perfectly a man who was sincere and yet terrified and confused. He won people over through rp so well; his actions will be remembered for a long time to come. Thank you Brendan!
Paul Shaffer
This month we'd like to give a special thanks to Paul Shaffer. Paul has been helpful to James and KR as a whole, from taking pictures to marshal training. Even his real life obstacles don't keep him from stepping up and helping out. Thank you Paul! In addition, we'd like to thank all the Storytellers for doing a great job!Darkheart Manor
Darkheart Manor. After many months of cramped winter quarters, it was great to be at a camp where we had cabins to decorate. Darkheart Manor was done very well this month. Even with a lot of inhabitants, they managed to keep everything top-notch and in game. There were many new props there and it helped to keep the RP going throughout the whole weekend. There was always someone doing something there, either at the forge, altar, or just relaxing outside. Great job! We also wanted to give mentions for good jobs by the Yhatzi's Cabin, Dougal's Forge, and the Monastery.
