Awards for July, 2009
Sorel
It was very close this month and it was difficult to make a choice, but we're awarding Liam as Sorel "Best PC" for July. Liam has been rapidly developing into a solid role-player. Sorel is a likeable character that is using his resources to become more involved in the folds of Travance. His very real and convincing, awestruck reactions to discovering some of his heritage, his palpable frustration and stubbornness when others attempted to pull him away too early from his newfound knowledge, and the way he cleverly fit a few puzzle pieces together gets him our notice. Thanks Liam, awesome job! Honorable mention: Jon as Antrim also did a great job this month, leading the town against the dark forces!
Doug E. as the Umberhulk
No one had any idea he was under that costume until after the mod was over, and the job he did of tanking the PCs and inspiring terror in all of us was phenomenal. He didn't just use the stats given a monster of that magnitude, but instead "became" the Umberhulk by role-playing digging himself into the ground as one would imagine a giant burrowing monster would. He made that monster frightening due to his demeanor and RP rather then just the fact that he was dealing substantial damage. Well done Doug! The Kaladonia Statehouse
This month we'd like to recognize the Kaladonia Statehouse, set up by the Yhatzi's. Both inside and out were done so well, they gave the feel of a small Romani village. Banners were everywhere and they even gave Zahir's hookah tent a run for its money! The party was attended by many and only helped to add to the atmosphere for July. Thanks to all that stayed there! Many other buildings looked great as well. Please keep up the good work everyone!
Jason Turqman
He NPCed key roles all event to keep the plot going. Jason is much overlooked with all the work he puts in to help KR weekends. He, along with Alex and Andy, devotes many hours in between events helping create the plot and story for the game as a whole. Jason always accepts many roles, both key and mundane to enhance any plot writer's story. Great job Jason!
