Anhil and Emeline
Two players really showed the strength of their Character through role play this month. Sean Moulson as Anhil is the first PC to be recognized. Sean has been very consistent with his character development with Ainhil. He brings a high level of roleplay and his flair for rolling with any situation. Throughout the event, no matter how many times his character may get flustered, tortured, assaulted or felled, Sean takes it all in stride, and has nothing but the game and the story in mind. Kirsten Lotano as Emiline has really made her character’s presence felt as well. Coming into game as a guardswomen from Caer Bridaeg, she has developed Emiline to be a recognized fighter and leader on the battlefield in a skirmish or main mod battle. She is an inspiration for anyone who wants to play with equal parts role-play and martial ability in the game and really has fun doing it.
The Hobgoblin Elite
The crew of Aaron Brownbridge, Matt Magnus and Tori Turqman brought it this month as the Goblin elite. From sleeping in tents during inclement weather, maintaining the live and in-game NPC camp and working off little sleep to interact with the PC’s, this volunteer group really took everything in stride and reminded us how strongly inspired NPC’s are crucial to an event at Knight Realms. Aaron as Commander Vorkas was not only a presence on the battlefield and an intimidating foe, he kept the NPC’s organized and helped the staff run the camp with peak efficiency. Matt as the General Hograk was the enemy you loved to hate. He completely made the PC’s want to kill him over and over, as he mocked and taunted them. He was the proper blend of sinister intimidation while seemingly creepy and insane. Tori as Calmasis, the Hobgoblin Torturer. This depraved soul helped create a vividly detailed character that was able to interact and forcibly engage the PC’s around her.Romeo & Friends
Romeo and his friends were out in the parking lot on Saturday when it started to rain and saw a random car with its windows open. They couldn't close the car’s windows, so they went and found sheets of plastic so that the car’s interior wouldn’t get soaked. After they came into game, they subtly tried to let a few people know what they did so that the owner wouldn't be confused why their car was covered in plastic. This kind of thing is such a nice thing to do for a stranger and fellow player that most people wouldn't even notice while trying to get out of the rain. Thanks so much to everyone who came together to help.Typhon's Tent
David Reyes' tent in Kaladonia was decked out in as a druids dwelling. In a style of druidic flair, there were carefully arranged candles and bones to help set the scene for one who was in tune with his wild side. David set up for himself a space that was truly his character's and also was kept tidy despite several late night raids. This is such an important, but down played element of KR that is so often overlooked. It’s really shows that even a simple tent can be brought to the next level and add to an areas atmosphere as a whole. Great job!
