Awards for March, 2013 (Alt Event)
Jen Fiore as Korok/Croí
Jen pulled off a rather successful Dryad, having subtle but well done makeup and a simple outlook on life, while still being able to hold her own and stand up to the town in matters of nature's safety. Even more so, however, we were floored by Jen's shifts from her Alt to her Passenger PC. While she was always subtle in her switch, in order to gain as much info as she could as Croi and avoid "scaring off" the other Alt PCs with crazy talk, her emotional investment into the character was obvious.
Ralph as Kirgyle Shorn
Ralph not only embodied the direction given to him about this dirty, creepy minion of Uton Alexander, but he also added to the role to make a simple role into a full character. He enthusiastically took up the reigns as soon as he heard the words "creepy minion” knowing he’d have to come back to NPC off his normal NPC shift to boot. Ralph also was a huge help with makeup throughout his shift, turning Blockus into a grotesque plague monster and numerous other NPCs into pox victims with his stage makeup talents.
Togashi's Tea Table
While not a cabin, the sheer amount of high-end, thematic props brought to set up the tea-shop added a great deal to the atmosphere. The many types of tea and spices for the sticky rice added flair to an otherwise plain settlement. There were several PCs who actually neglected a mod because they didn't want to abandon the fresh, hot tea Heiwa had just poured them. Geoff Schaller’s elaborate and functional tea and rice area stood far out above the rest: his little slice of the inn as Togashi!
