Awards for Week in the Life, 2013
Cory W-S as Arthur Goggins
Setting aside the fact that Cory doesn't have to make any effort for his (wonderful) accent, his role-play is brilliant. His costuming is perfect, his weapons suit his character, and he even occasionally smears makeup on his face to simulate grease smudges obtained from his inventions. Furthermore, his portrayal of a brilliant, absentminded, somewhat nutty inventor is alternately entertaining and frustrating without ever being too cheesy or over-the-top. His immersion is infectious and causes others to stay in character. Well done sir!
Honorable mention goes to Sharone as Almat for her contributions in the Kaladonia Games. Even with real life injuries, she managed to be a huge part of the success.
Chris Camburn and Crew
This award goes to Chris aka Gamblor and his crew. Chris came back, with two friends, after a long absence and NPCed the weekend. They did so with gusto and enthusiasm for any role given them, no matter how small. They went above and beyond, taking on a few extra last-minute roles, as well as doing a good job with makeup and coordinating the other NPCs encounters. They set a good example for how to approach NPCing at Knight Realms. Thank you, and please keep coming back!
We’d also like to give a nod to the Undine, Morganna played by Kristen. Even though she was only out for a short time, she had a big impact on a lot of people. Furthermore, the costuming and makeup looked amazing!
Chase Kosberg, Full Time NPC
Chase Kosberg, aka Shirtless NPC Guy, gets our praise for best “player” for Week in the Life 2013. Chase was everywhere the whole event, helping out wherever he could. From hauling trash to keeping people calm around a bear, his helpful spirit and dedication to making sure others are taken care of does not go overlooked. Thanks so much for all that you do!
We’d also like to thank Zach T. for all of the time he spent marshalling sorcery rituals. He took time out of his own fun to help out others that needed him.
Alisandria
WitL best area goes to Alisandria. It goes without saying that there was plenty to see in the Red and White lands the whole week. But it is the dedication of the players that stay there that really made it welcoming. From the player-financed water and Gatorade station, set-up by the players each month for anyone at the game to use to help people stay hydrated, the constant sharing of meals, to the extra tents and pavilions that added to the community, it remained well done and clean the whole week. Great job to all of the players that helped maintain the atmosphere there. Thank you.
Honorable Mention goes to – Jenna for Blacktree’s encampment. Everything about it was very well done and believable. Great job Jenna!
