I also got sick at about 10 last night, I'm still out of it and am having trouble walking around eating still. Plain rice and gatorade are staying down nicely.

I don't think it was anything but a very aggressive stomach virus. Cant really blame anyone for it, but man did it spread and man was it bad. I hope everyone who just got it today gets better soon. For 90% of us it seems that it lasted between 8-10 hours tops.

James wins this thread!
Did anyone else get sick Saturday night?
I don't mean to blame Diane at all, but I suspect she, and not any of the food, was the vector. These kind of bugs usually incubate for 24 hours and then unleash hell, and right now it seems like she was the only one that was sick Saturday and the rest of us got sick yesterday. That would suggest that she became infected on Friday, and the rest of us were infected on Saturday.
Like I said, though, please be clear that there's no blame to be assigned. Diane would have had no way of knowing she was contagious with a bug until it was far too late to do anything about it. Generally by the time you exhibit symptoms of a bug or cold, you have already passed through your most contagious phase. And likely she only passed it to a handful of people, who in turn passed it to a handful of others, and so on. I barely saw Diane this weekend, for example, and therefore I blame Geoff for my infection!

I you Diane! I think my housemate Adam (Cael) may have had it Friday as well so don't worry you're not alone.
I'm glad most people seem to be feeling better I hope the rest of us feel good soon too. John told me ice chips are a godsend and I have to agree with him right now. It's the only thing I have been able to keep down all day. If at all possible keep hydrated and eat cambles soup it has a high salt content to help.

Jello, the red kind is doing alright as well, if i drink too much water, well it comes out every orifice it can, ice chips are alright, but too much of it was making me feel cold and ill. Last night i was delusional and yelling at Danny... we don't live together, nor was i in any shape of being able to talk to anyone.
Ice chips, jello, seem to work alright- i tried rice last night... that was unpleasant.
My own theory is that this is the superflu out of Stephen King's "The Stand." See you all in Vegas.

I was definitely sick immediately after "evil mod" late Saturday night. All my other symptoms seem more in line with bronchitis than flu but either way I'm home suffering with you all.

I became sick at 4:30 am Saturday morning as somethings were attacking the Inn. It had 'run its course' by 11 am, but I felt wiped, and didn't risk eating until Sunday morning.
Thanks to the orphaned Mountain Dew - my blood sugar did not get too low.
One of my roommates got it Thursday morning, other one on Friday afternoon. I haven't been sick like that in over 20 years - seriously.

Ginger Ale, Gatorade, bread and soup is really good against the stomach bug. Lots of rest too, it makes it go away quicker.

My mom was hit hard by this bug, and I went to go see her before the game. It's more than likely I had a part to play in this escapade as well, especially as I was on antibiotics fighting off another infection when I showed up.

I found that water at first didn't stay down but after a few bottles of Gatorade (which stayed down fine) water then started to stay down alright. I also found that jello stayed down and yogurt. Rice pudding did but threatened not to. As of yet I haven't eaten anything else and my entire body hurts and I'm kind of out of it. still.

Perhaps I spoke too soon earlier... just became ill... which gives it an incubation period of at least more than 24 hours, but likely less than 72 hours, considering how many people were sick on Sunday. Definintely not food or water, considering it would have hit me much earlier. Feel better once I was officially 'sick', hope I can go to work tomorrow... I was hoping to test on Wednesday.

Norm landed in Vegas around 4 in the afternoon today - I spoke too soon, as he was a bit ill, but not to the extent that the rest of you are.
Two other friends who have nothing to do with KR left Friday at 0300 for their wedding/honeykmoon in Hawaii. Lisa has been embracing the porcelin goddess one way or the other since their arrival. Seems fairly wide spread.

I became ill at about 8 am on Saturday morning and felt like death the rest of the event, including barely being able to drive home on Sunday ( Karen had to tell me where to point the car at times because I couldn't make out the road) but we got home OK. Just slept around 20 hours and am feeling a little better and hungry-ish, think I'll try a bowl of rice and some water just to be safe. Hope everyone else feels better!

Dan represents a vector that would cover almost everyone. But I agree with Matt - let's blame Geoff.
Force water, even if it mostly comes up. Ditto for salt replenishment. Give my mother's remedy a shot as well and do not look down on those hot baths I mentioned as they will decongest, relax the muscles and be good in other ways. If you are fortunate enough to have bath salts (one of my annual Hanukah gifts) it will sooth your muscles as well.

It just hit me really hard. I'm nervous to drink anything because I don't know if I can keep it down at the moment. I thought the ache was from wearing chainmail all weekend, but I guess its this bug. At least it didn't completely hit me on my birthday A few hours of sleep followed by re hydrating is probably the best bet. Good to see people are recovering!
