X-Men Origins: Wolverine

In the past the 4th wall stuff has been done in a number of ways. For example other mutants have responded to the content of his yellow thought bubbles commenting that he has been saying it all outloud the whole time. He has been interviewed in some issues by the news media where he would break the TV's 4th wall and turn to talk to the camera. And in the more recent comics he does blatant recaps of past issues and interviews with the villain totaly outside the issue's story continuity. There are a number of ways it could be done and work with it actualy being 4th wall breaking or it not.

They could easily do some kind of a nod to it, but in the past various writers have utilized and taken away the 4th wall jokes, so it will come down to the take that the script writers want to use. I am guessing that they will use him as a wisecracking secondary character and not go to much into him. I don't really think it is necessary, but if they do one or two throw away 4th wall jokes it would be nice fan service.

Ultimate Nick Fury was done up to be every cliche Samuel L Jackson has done since Coming to America. The writers when the line was created said they took a huge portion of what they look like from he movie world. Captain America looked like Brad Pit. The Wasp was Lucy Liu.

The real Nick Fury was a sharpshooting, judo punching, big gun in a tiny leg hostler. I'm not saying the one with the Hoff was cinema gold, but it will be alot better than this.

Unless they include Shield with some USAgent action.

There is no possible way to have WWII Fury in today's film without putting the movies back in the 60s. This Fury can work, is the level of bad assery needed to be Fury, and Jackson has agreed to be Fury...in everything.

One side everyone, comic book character cooler than anyone mentioned in this thread coming through. Move along, people.

Edited for a new picture of the Ultimate Bastich, since the old one stopped working.

Never trust anything IMDB has on their site for a future movie unless you have actual visual evidence of the fact

I have to agree with Emily on this one...I am a big Ryan Reynolds fan, but I really think it will be hit or miss...

That being said who can say the Wolverine thing has been overdone? I think Marvel fans have been waiting for this movie since X-men 1, I am just thankful the writers didn't kill the character development through the two sequels.

Anyone who read Wolverine from its initial release...yes I just aged myself there...  thought it was a great spin off from X-men and fit nicely, and has always been considered a top selling comic.

Personally I am just finally happy they did a decent punisher movie (after that Dolph Lungren Flop) and I can await the Wolverine/Punisher War Journal Spin-off...though sadly in reality, I know it will never happen...
