I was honestly very concerned about how much I was going to enjoy playing a "barbarian", but things turned out better than expected. He was very well received, despite my attempts at being as offensive as possible to "foreigners". And I had a lot of fun running around and stabbing things, which was a drastic change from my previous characters.
I had this conversation many times:
"Just how strong are you?"
"Skorpor have strength of 50 men."
"..."
Also Skorpor became a verb at some point on Saturday. SKORPOR!!
Also Desrochers ran into a fence going full speed. Sam and I lol'd.

more to come after i am coherent enough to really post. had an awesome time giving everyone cavaties because of how sweet Ridigan and Remi were. We actually cleared the monestary saturday morning when we started singing to each other. Also the mod that ended in the graveyard was rather intense. after getting both of my legs broken, i ending up literally dragging someone in crit to healer to save her. i found out later she was in the last 30 seconds of crit when i got her to them. made my day.

I only got to be there for a few hours on Sunday, but it was WELL worth it.
Can't wait until December!
- Squeezed in a bunch of lessons I needed to learn, in record time.
- Got to teach a bunch as well - 4th Rank Enchantments are always fun!
- The look on Diane's face when I handed her a Chocolate Berry Empenada from Raul's. Love ya, baby!
- FINALLY seeing Scott C's new Hobgoblin PC!
- *glare* "Who's the new Hobgobin?" "He's a stained glass artisan, Gideon." *sigh* "Oh, all right, I should go say Hi."
Can't wait until December!

This is a Great Event,
Friday night was good as i got to partake in first hand fighting against a True Warlock. - in the back of my mind was "OOHHH NOO its Steve.. that means No Sir Aleister" but i was glad i didnt let that slow me down in game.
Then Hookah and RP with Knight Protector Rallenfolly and Erim was great!
Saturday NPC was fun, i got to be a pirate, and a goblin. Thank God my goblin didnt run into Skorpor.
Saturday during the day i got to learn a bunch of new things from Sir Aleister. Like intercept which was very intense. Great lesson though.
Parry happened to be the most intense lesson i have ever been taught; as i had to defend myself for 2 min against Skorpor. The first time you hear someone stab at you and hear "100 Divine Fire" is quite the moment. Didnt get hit though!
Sunday was good, got some good RP.
Great event, cant wait til the next one!

Just some random highlights for me:
-The joys of having at least one bar of artisan chocolate on me at all times.
-All the laughter in the newly insulated Kaladonia Statehouse
-SKORPOR (and of course Elka)
-Informal Druid meeting, a trip to the Grove, and some suprisingly comfortable conversations with old and new friends. Thank you everyone who came to hang out and rp, it was definitely the most enjoyable part of my morning/afternoon, especially since the temperature in the Grove was so wonderfully comfortable. I look forward to more gatherings like it in the future.
-James Ranthor, official drink-maker.
-A delicious Feast, thank you Diane!
-Most of all, just getting to wander around and spend quality time with my friends.

Fact: The name Skorpor came from a bag of Skorpor Fullkorn that we picked up from Ikea. Wholewheat Breadcrisps. They are quite delicious.
Also, roleplay your damage better, Alex.

That was a truly amazing event. Although I still haven't really slept. Like at all. I will tap out QUITE nicely once I get home from work.
Friday night NPC Shift!
-NPCing Intro mod, I always love doing this as the new PC's are always so much fun to interact with.
-OGRE COMBAT. FOR PEACE!
Arriving in town and promptly getting the booze train running in good ole' Yusef fashion.
Tracking don't fail me no- damn. Drinks then?
Not sleeping Friday night. After not having slept Thursday night. (Woooo! High on sleep deprivation!)
Teaching a fellow Coasthavian the art of using bottles, table legs, candlesticks and anything else you can use from a bar to fight. So long as the bottle is empty. Party foul it has ale in it when you swing it.
Spiders!
Waking suddenly in the night to my friends telling me Drow assassins were imminent. Always fun to wake up to!
Psionic bottle mod thingy! Goley, that was awesome, I really loved that mod. My feet still hate you, though.

Running and Hooking New Player Mod
Playing my Alt. I love Lucas but it's nice to see a different aspect of our game and world every so often.
Market Fair and finally getting some new equipment... though I wish I had remembered to visit the Dra booth for some new sashes.
Hooking Lowbie Fallow Mod. It was a pleasure to see Greg RP as Fallow, as well as the great RP all of our new players put forth!
Bottle Mod, it was a pleasure running a module for all the players involved. The unexpected four-hours and fantastic character development that I was able to witness was a reward all in itself.
Looking forward greatly to seeing everybody in December!

A lot of really great NPC roleplaying stuff this event for me. Absolutely loved it all. I seriously can't think of a singular memory that is my favorite since all of them were so much fun.
Friday:
~Going out with Norm as Fredrick and his little sister Anne as merchants from across the Rift with a "special" relationship and the insanity we caused up until 6 am at the Inn. Luis you were such a good sport going back and forth from the Inn to Logistics trying to sort out all of it with your bad leg and the cold.
~That delicious candy I got in trade for a bar of electrum. Best idea EVER.
Saturday
~Getting to watch Paul (Amizar) at work when we went out as a family to the morning market. Delicious chocolate and brownies there!
~Norm's Paladin mod as a Chaos Warrior. Oh it was so much fun fighting with the boys.
~Getting to sit in on my first sorcery ritual OOG. I really was taken in by it and felt the magic in that room. Really Norm--you make the Weave come alive with your work.
~Going to feast as Kara the Merchant. Such a lovely conversation about economics and the politics of Travance. Truly felt welcomed by Amizar and Emar. Hell I even felt very welcomed by the three thieves before they killed me and brutally disposed of my body. You know who you are.
~Being the demented little girl in the Fields of Fallow who was given a "puppy" by Lord Fallow. By puppy, I mean my very own Death Fiend on a leash that had to do tricks like roll over, play dead, etc at my command. Everything about that night really was completely awesome and hilarious. To the physician who tried to "help us" and was subjugated to my hissy fit in the middle of the Inn--thanks for being such a great sport. You too Mommy!
Sunday
~Really early morning mod as the psionist poisoner. Lord Ardentfyre snatching my bottles out of my hand before I could get Ardin to get a drink with a little "I don't think so." Ardin's pure annoyance at not being able to hit me with any weapon or spell. Every single person who took my drink were such good sports. Most dementedly strange but awesome mod I've ever been on. Goley--fantastic work. I really enjoyed it so much, it didn't matter it was freezing cold at 2 am out in the fields. Every part of it was so original and wonderful to take part of.
Thanks to everyone for such a great event!

Quite a few significant moments this event for me, let's see if I can remember them in my sleep-deprived state.
-OOC before lay-on and then again during clean-up making plans for my second character. Getting really antsy to bring him in, but I need a few more things first.
-Discovering that Winks is no longer just a squire "to the land" and is now officially squire to Ilservian.
-Good conversations with Barak and Lethias.
-Learning about religion from Ilana. Hey Goose, now Winks will have more to say during our talks when you come back.
-Meeting Scott's hobgoblin. Both of us having the facepalm moment of realizing our backgrounds are nearly the same.
-Proving myself quite the useful member of the Mage's Guild by successfully tracking an intruder and gathering some pretty important information. The conversation that came from that *almost* changed my mind for what Winks' final lower list would be.
-Skorpor. (verb): to turn something into a fine red mist.
-Dammit Cameron. Running mods that you designed almost specifically for me to be involved in...and I'm NPCing during your shift...
See everyone in December

Friday night...
1. Seeing my friends. Awesome.
2. Helping getting work done of the state house.
3. Patrolling all over camp with Captain Archer & Squire Dioderis (spelling?).
4. Getting to use all my Dissipate Undead in front of an audience.
5. Campfire talks.
Saturday day...
1. Waking up to hearing about a dead baby with some horrific stuff done to it. WTF?
2. Seeing some townsfolk try to stop spiders & working together. Very nice.
3. Getting to patrol all over camp again in daylight & peace. My comfort level with the camp is getting better.
4. Learning that I am too easily agreeing to escort people all over the damn place.
Saturday night...
1. NPCing main mod... was good and bad. I am happy to make my fellow players feel like heroes & take a beating.
2. NPCing Fallow mod: seeing 3 innocent children get charmed, corrupted, & brainwashed by Fallow to become homicidal necromantic by sheer roleplay is way creepy. I hope the impact & message of how skeevy evil that was isn't lost on the new people to Travance.
3. Finding out the Arcanite (spelling) came out again & I missed it was actually kinda sad. I wanted to trap the thing as a pet.
Sunday...
1. Sunday morning Alisandrian Super Hero Squad nicknames. For those that were there... 'nuff said.
2. Shower.... oh, how wonderful.
3. Teaching... I should do it more often.
4. Rat-things? We should just send all the Kitierans to handle it.
5. Assault? Uncle Grizzle? Goblins? I hate being the law... especially when it's not my jurisdiction. Dregamire's people... Dregamire's problem.
Now I have to go take a lot of pain meds and get some sleep.

Even though I blew twice as much gas as usual (I had work friday and saturday) it was still a blast
Friday Night(NPC shift):
-Going out as Torturers/ bandits and finding someone in the Pendarvin Statehouse(We tortured him there. muahaha)
-Realizing how warm the Baron's manor was and ending up sleeping there.
Saturday Morning:
-Waking up and not getting attacked for once
-Mostly calm morning for me
-Seeing the Travancian grove
(had to leave for the afternoon and main mod)
Sunday morning (2am-1pm)
-ghost pirate mod
-ghost attacking the inn and only firing one shot
-sleeping well even though it was cold in the Manor
-Dealing with a squad of Drag'emire guards and a dwarf. Why did I need to be the only guard outside the inn?
-doing my Cats-like grace lesson while walking to a mod in the maze.
-Taking part in said mod and helping destroy a piece of corrupt earth.

-Friday: I don't remember exactly what I did as Ilana except kill undead a bunch and try and help take out a true warlock that stole from the Gypsy King. I also NPCed a Gypsy that did a lot of random stuff and had a lot of fun.
- *Saturday morning I wake up and start on manuscripts... checks time... !!* A bit late for helping with breakfast but I made up for it by staying late with MaryBeth (I hope)
- Ilana got to go to the Druid's Grove and was the happiest ever
-"True Warlocks are parasites... like fleas in your... well no I guess more like a tapeworm for your soul"
- Obsidian Raptor jump on the 'Path of Saint Larson' mod. If Misaki hadn't randomly shown up Aiden and myself would have died because I separated from the battle (and got followed) to get him out of crit.
-Hobgoblin battle. Not sure why it went so well but I guess it was because the drow were up to something that was probably missed.
- The Arcanite. Ilana's never been so scared before. I was hiding behind the Pendarvin Statehouse because I couldn't keep up with the others and I hear this 'woooosh'ing noise and realize what just stepped inside the building. I don't move. I stayed frozen for at least five minutes as it hovered around inside/outside the building. Whoever walked up the path and got its attention I thank you. Misaki shows up again to help Ilana stop freaking out.
-Ilana can deal with a certain age limit professionally. Small children.... well, Ilana will do her best to continue to deal with the 'campers' that loved 'Uncle' Fallow's house.
- I stopped calling defenses to 'RP' things starting with Jimbob's 'Now you have the Black Spot'. Between that, the late night Psion Bottle Mod, and Sunday morning getting half of Ilana's soul ripped out made me actually enjoy this decision even more.

So, I'm going to open by stating that this is the first event in YEARS where I have played Remi and she hasn't cried. Amusingly, it was also a fairly quiet event. Perhaps that superstition about satyr's tears is legit? lol!
As always, Tom, it is an honor and absolute pleasure RPing the blossoming romance between Remi and Ridigan with you. Clearing the monastery with our singing was absolutely hilarious. Cavities all around!
So, on to the rest of my highlights:
- Desecrating a Rank 5 Agaurran altar. Steve, you are a FANTASTIC marshall. It was essentially a mini-main-mod for light clergy, and it was absolutely brilliant. From the tentacles to the crow to the personal jabs at Ilona and Remi during the final rank, it was absolutely brilliant. I had SO much fun. I especially enjoyed the fact that I got to incorporate Remi's bardics into the desecration. We sang love songs at the altar! It wasn't very happy with us. (neither was Steve. Especially when we broke into "Seasons of Love.")
- Post-desecration drunkenness with Mother Arabeth, Mother Marika, and Ellie. To celebrate our successful vanquishing of darkness we drank satyr's wine and stargazed. Brogan's reaction when we came back into the monastery falling over ourselves and giggling was hilarious, too.
- Light Mass. As always, I absolutely adore the RP that goes into each mass, from the stories we tell to the way we bond as a family through our faith. It's absolutely beautiful, and an inspiration to me, both IG and OOG.
- Mage's Guild meeting and Bard meeting. Hopefully everyone's all caught up now. Also, I got an awesome magic item because someone pulled my name out of a hat. Which was pretty epic for me.
- Singing at feast. My voice was totally trashed from catching the DR plague the week before, but I really enjoyed getting up in front of you all and singing for the first time in a long while. Also, I would really like to say... thank you all. It was SO quiet while I was singing. I was extremely impressed with that. Usually people are much more rowdy during the entertainment at feast. I felt like my performance was really respected and appreciated, and I'm super grateful. (especially because singing that particular song was sort of a Big Deal for Remi. )
- Converting a band of brigands to join the Church Guard as scouts. AWESOME roleplay. That scene would have gone very differently if any of the following things had happened: 1) the hook had gone anywhere but the Monastery to find a group to bait. 2) there had been a single Valosian with us. 3) If they had chosen Remi to waylay and threaten the life of, instead of Arabeth. Somehow I don't think Ridigan would have taken that too well.
- Mastering the Enchantment list. Thank you Gideon!
- In general, a lot of wonderful roleplay, especially with Ridigan, Marika, Arabeth, Brogan, Billliamm, and the new bards. I had a great time everyone. Thank you all for being awesome!

Oh, yes, my favorite was the one where you and Ridigan held hands over the table in the middle of the Monastary and sang "I wanna hold your hand...". Cleared the entire building, and everyone ran to the Inn.

Great event. A lot of people didn't get to come along, but I'm really happy that those who did were there. Additional thanks to everyone who helped make Sharone feel welcome. It really makes my gushing about the game more justified when other people enjoy it too.
Friday:
Getting a bit of early exercise with some undead... Skeletons and goblins and things... I still need to find a way to channel a bit more... oomph... into my strikes. Those things were annoyingly big.
Getting Almat into town and introducing her to a few people... apparently bartending isn't as good at introductions anymore?
Assistant is made of win! I love the skill and the RP it gets me, especially combined with Fire Fortitude.
Making deals, getting items... all good.
Saturday NPC:
Corrupted Mephits and imps that everyone just assumed were elemental... and squished.
Also trolls. Not quite as epic as it could have been, but templates make everything more fun. Then, Tyrian cutting my troll's arms off and making me run away... past the inn... with no arms... I don't remember the last time I saw you all that confused.
Pirates who sang Fanfare of the Turning Tides as we were leaving. We wanted to give you all a concert that would blow you away. Seemed like a good idea at the time...
Aguaran pod... walking around, having a good time and looking for a victim... and finding a fight instead. Excellent.
Saturday Afternoon:
My first Mages' Guild meeting! It's actually kind of interesting. And, of course, Bard stuff. I... hope that continues to happen.
Teaching Fanfare of Victory and learning Resilience. Awesome RP all around.
Saturday Night:
Main mod was fun. New toys are appreciated, and new reserves of healing are *useful*
More assisting. Honestly, I think I'mna spend more time at the forge. With nothing to do but talk and teach, I still had a good time.
Fallow mod. Finally finding out that the whole thing was... orchestrated... was a bit hard to swallow, but I suppose it's important to put the low-level players in situations we can't beat our way out of. Consequences, and all that.
Ghost pirates. "You're such a cute little human... I wanna eat your liver!"
Sunday:
Nezumi mod. Knowing what they were didn't really help, but being able to say I did was kind of fun... and now people are going to be looking for their nest. All good things.
Napping in the field. I'm spending too much time around my sisters. Meh.
All in all, a nice relaxing break from reality. It's good. See you guys next month.

My children did not show up for camp today....I do believe I will have to have a more...more...yes, a more persuasive discussion with their mother.
.....
Thanks all, I had a blast. From age old players to the new ones, I am always amazed as to how great you all are, and how much I enjoy the interaction. The synergy is out of this world.
Warmest Regards,
Gregory
.....
Now, to deal with the inept, heartless, wench of a woman who claims to be a mother...
...and what can we get from our sisters?

"Lord Fallow's Book of Children's Tales"....I wonder whatever happened to it?
As a quick shout out, highlights consisted of but are not limited to, Steve's Andre the True Warlock gypsy (and his creepy death curse), Lord Fallow and all of his little students and their wonderfully distraught mother, RP with the Blackthorns, Zathir, Winks, Misaki/Cy's bandit NPC to name a few and the shenanigans that therein ensued; there were so many people that made this weekend delightful.
Thanks staff, PCs, and bacon for the wonderful weekend.

I totally was SO happy with my new Magic eating buddy... SO SO happy... Eat that magic!! Then I realized that no-one else was as happy about him as I was, so I toned down my happiness about him, and even saved someone's life and warned a few people about him... though really if they just gave up magic, everything would be better

Even with a weekend that wasn't heavy on an over-arcing plot, it was still pretty awesome.
Friday Night
-Talks with Bolton and taking up an offer that might be potentially fun in the near future
-OGRE BATTLE FOR PEACE!!! Super awesome RP. I never thought the day would come when Misaki would willingly give up his family's sword, but it was out of honor with the Ogres. And with that, Misaki's army slowly grows again...
-Awesome talks with Lethias concerning the three houses. Maybe Misaki has a plan after all.
-With a lack of Magnus, Kielor, Seamus, Aidan, and Elethelanasa (sp?), had to pull double time taking care of Undead. Needless to say, it was great to see how much Misaki's progressed in his training.
-Dissipate and Courage training. One apparently makes me a healer, the other burned images into my head I'll never be rid of...
-Again, fantastic moments with Amalthea. Very interested to see what happens next.
-Taking Magnus' role and falling asleep on the couch across from the fire because it was deceptively comfortable. And lived.
Saturday
-Guard patrol/treasure hunting with Jack Cypher et al. Hilarious.
Jack: "7:52am, a single Gypsy approaches us meeting with her elf friend. Starting to get suspicious of the matter at hand."
*5 minutes later...*
Jack: "7:57am, a second gypsy has just approached from the opposite direction. I'm sensing we've walked into a trap."
-Amalthea is trying to kill me. One lesson where I drank Satyr's wine (willingly), another where my arm got hacked off thrice, and a third where I had to be dropped into Serious. It's ok though, what doesn't kill Misaki just makes him more used to mutilation
-Delicious, delicious breakfast by Mary Beth et al. I went back for seconds faster than in previous months. That's saying something big.
-Talks with Elawyn and finding out I was already part of the extended Druid family. That really put a smile on Misaki's face, Kristin.
-Misaki's second visit to a Druid's Grove. PERFECT for meditation. So peaceful.
-Assisting Mae in Mantis Style training. I fell correctly, but it still does smart hitting the ground over and over again. Totally worth it though, was pretty cool seeing Shen teach OOG techniques IG.
-Rushing towards some commotion away from Winterdark to try and find Sorel, but instead end up saving Ilana and Aidan from a couple of Assassins. It just goes to show, lots of pointy fancy attacks are nothing against good old Resilience
-Dragoon mod. Pat, for a guy who I rarely see fighting with weapons, you're a scary mofo when you do. Barely getting out of there alive with Barak (who had to freeze himself), Danny (who was just about as beat up as I was) and Rose (who btw fought amazingly).
-Showing up at Feast with the four of us bloodied and bruised from the fight and Angelica's face. Priceless.
Saturday Night
-Dragoon Promo rewrite. l33t.
-Master Warrior lesson #2 with Barak. I always enjoy my lessons with that guy, they're just so much fun.
-Fun with Invisibility, except for when things can see you. Curse you Liz!
-Misaki getting to know Luminista and the proceeding talks with Leandra and Riddigan (sp?) were sweet.
-The Arcanite. 'nuff said.
-"Saving" Illana again after finding her shivering in fear behind the Pendarvin statehouse. Misaki's protection gauge kicked into overdrive at that point
-Na'ar and Misaki to the rescue!...with the assistance of lords and knights and such. Just glad that we got to Viggo on time.
Sunday
-Flexx and Johnson. I always LOVE NPC-ing because I get to see the side of people that I rarely get to see as a PC.
Flexx
-Being sent out as a goblin farmer just trying to get help in getting rid of farmers trying to take his crops and getting pwned by Grizzle. Any other response would been out of character, so awesome job buddy
-Being sent out a second time with Drega'Mire guardsmen seeking to arrest Grizzle and Guildmaster Silverbow. Norm, you can be scary when you have to be.
Johnson
-Last mod of the weekend, and I'm sent out to try and just rob some random people, get ganked, and call it a weekend. Instead, our group encounters the Light Clergy, give up our journeymen ways (teehee) and get hired as "scouts" for the church. And that's just the tip of the iceburg. Props to my Cant partner Elias/Bolton for making it extra special. Stay tuned, Travance.
I'm sure there's more, but those were the huge ones. And now to go back into a coma until December. Live long and, as Elias wonderfully said, bacon.

...and what can we get from our sisters?
THE TEARS OF A VIRGIN!!!!! Love you Uncle Fallow!
*facepalm* This is what Ilana's going to be dealing with the next month. She's going to have white hairs for sure.
Uncle Fallow promised I could give my puppy a bath when I visit camp. Do you know where I can get the Blood of a Virgin? I want Fi-Fi nice and clean.

So SO SOOOOO much fun
usually I try to remain chronological but the Lord Fallow mod was so great it gets mentioned first, and OOH OOH the FINGERBONES!! Greg thanks for picking us for that mod, Liz awesome with the mother!
- Fate of Wisdom invisibility then having Ardin teach it to me. I poof out and getting asked if I'm making a mockery of him.
Then having Ardin disappointed when the next spells I attempt to learn don't work right off the bat.
- being useful and getting paid for it
- TEA IS BACK! the looks on some faces when i make Delicious happen
- trading tea for back rubs - thank you Marika it will be a regular instance of you getting full cups of tea
- Bonding with my fellow kitchen peoples
- Death fiending both at the stump and inn, leaping and climbing and hiding then calling resilience on the nut shot from Misaki, dude it happens but it was priceless to have the defense and call it.
Getting something i've been after for a few months
Being able to help put Amizar through the Lethias School of Dodge
I look forward to seeing all of you in December!
