A Wake for a Friend was created by ColinMcKraegar (ColinMcKraegar)
As many of you remember, clan McKraegar and clan MacSweeny called for a gathering of friends following the death of Magnus. I place this notice to remind you all of this call. Soon after everyone's arrival at the Dragon's Claw Inn I will call for the wake to begin. Hopefully the gods will shine on us this feast and provide us with weather fine enough to gather, if not, we will remain in and around the inn. I ask that if you wish to remember Magnus you try to bring these three things,
song,
story,
and love
Love for the fallen hero, and love for those who will gather to remember him.
Please remember that songs, stories and love are all amplified when combined with a fine brew, so bring that too. The wake is not a scheduled organized thing, it will be whatever you all choose to make of it.
I remain, your humble and obedient servant,
Squire Collin McKraegar

Citizens of Travance,
It has been brought to my attention that my own fervor to honor out fallen friend has clouded my judgment and forced me into planning, perhaps a bit too quickly. Aided in counsel by those I would consider most wise, I have decided to cancel my plans for a wake for Magnus.
In its stead, I propose a wake for all those brave heroes, including Magnus, who have fallen in the past. Magnus, a true friend, a great man, a hero of the ages is truly deserving of honor, but can we forget all those who came before? Certainly not. For those of us new to Travance, it may do us well to hear the stories of those who are long gone. To help inspire us to live up to their memories.
I ofttimes hear folks say, where have all the heroes gone? Many are gone, and shall never return. Let us share their memory and their example.
Plans shall stay the same, please refer to the message tacked under this one. Know that the wake will be held for all those who have died protecting Travance, its citizens, and the citizens of all surrounding areas.

From your posts, am I to understand that Magnus has passed? I am saddened to hear of such if it be true. I have spent many a month away from town, and would appreciate it if I might hear privately of the details of his passing during the gather from any who might honor my request. I have not the time to read through the posts long covered by recent events and announcements... Please contact me at the gathering at your earliest convenience. For any who may not know me, look for a blond human woman with a glaive.
If at all possible, I will be present for the proceedings, assuming my understanding is correct.
