During a recent battle with Grim Guardians, my sword was shattered. In order to repair it, I need either a shard of crystal or a paste of mending. If anyone has either of these and is willing to sell it, please send me a missive informing me of this.

Dear Tobar,
As an alchemist, I can tell you that the Paste of Mending does not bind well to object of an Enigmatic or Arcane nature. If this crystal you seek is of either category, you will have to seek out a smith to aid you in repairs.

Thank you, Rudolf. I did not know of the limitation of that particular compound. In that case, I will require a shard of crystal and a smith. As previously posted, please contact me if you have crystal that you are willing to sell.

Perhaps you may ask a Cleric or priest of Brazen?

Unfortunately, Brazen's prayer of mending will not work on anything other than steel, wood, or other common materials - anything more advanced requires the work of a blacksmith.

Having been once touched with a gift of Brazen, I am aware that it is possible for those who follow that path to temporarily change the composition of a weapon or suit of armor to any sort of material. So, you could merely change your weapon into steel, repair it, then when the effect wears off, it will be both intact and still crystal.

Brother Germaine: "You know, the enemy that has menaced us for over a year and murdered many of our friends? He's dead."
*a couple of nods*
Arlington: "I believe you can attribute our subdued response to the fact that we're eating bacon."
Brother Germaine: "You have bacon?"
