TO ALL GOOD PEOPLES OF THE REALM,
It is with sadness I must tell you of the passing of Divine Pontiff Alexander the Ninth. He died this moon August 13th 1210 and his spirit was to weak to return to the realm of the living. His passing will be felt for many years to come, and I personally had the honor to meet the man on several occasions, I do not say that I felt it more then others but it was not an easy thing for myself to witness.
It will be some months before a new Pontiff is selected from the Cardinals that survive him. The task will be difficult because of the many doubts and corruption that has been with our great church for some time. This will be done carefully and wisely. I ask any that are faithful to Valos and the gods of light pray for his soul, and that his final moments and acts are blessed with success and divine guidance.
He was a good man in the end and shall be mourned for a great many years. I hope to see him again one day when my time here on the good earth is come to its end.
