To The Town of Travance, now as the spring has come. many of the local farmers are going to need help planting crops. It would be a sign of good faith to anyone that might help me help the farmers get the seeds in the ground.

Squire Renaith, thank you for your offer. I will let you know what my plans are. The Hope is that the seed that we have purchased will be safe in the caravan over the rift

Father Daemos,

This sounds like something right up my alley. Myself and my cousin Brother Bran actually grew up tending to fields of all sorts in the Highlands. I cannot fully speak for him, but you tell me when and this farmboy will be more than willing to pitch in.

Orias - You have more need of good faith than perhaps you will ever be able to understand.

Father Daemos - I grew up on a farm and will be happy to lend what aid I can. It is good of you to turn your thought to the day to day needs of the people of this land.

Although food of substance is needed, in order to make plain fare more palatable we should plant the herb garden talked about last year. At the same time we can instruct the populace in the simple science of composting, to allow them to truly use all that grows.

I can do more than just assist with tending the fields, if you would like I can make sure that your tools are in good enough shape for the season.
I also have some experience with tending a field from when I worked on my cousin's vinyard.

But regardless, I will be more than happy to assist you in whatever needs to be done with your farm.

I have been introduced to a very advantageous merchant route. This agreement will allow me to take some of the towns nicer items, like jewelry or other luxuries things, and trade them in for food. If anyone has items they feel they can do without, I will include them in these trades. Please contact me privately or see me next feast if interested.

I would agree with Master Haroldson, that herb gardens are a wise move as it will give the poorer amongst us a way to make the food tastier and more nutritrious. With the blesssing of the Arch bishop I will start one on the outside of the monastary.

Yes, working with the druids would be strongly advized Idea. in my time living with the dwarves in their mountain homes they had their own kinda hunter that took care of vermin that were bigger than your average rat or goblin. I am sure I can come up compensation for those would protect our foot supplies

I shall allocate 100gold to this good work from my personal funds. Together we grow as a people as a Barony.

I would suggest however planting of the hearty potato introduced to me by my freinds of the highlands.
As we all have seen war seems to be brewing on the foothills. The potato being underground is there for immune to being trampled by our enemy's hoof and foot, a wise crop in this unknown political climate.

In service to the people

good chancellor, you are correct on the potato being a strong and worthwhile crop for us to plan. I shall start plowing the lands necessary to get them started. We can wait a few weeks for corn or grain to go next. But the more diverse the crops we have the less likely they are to fail.

Father Jord,

You'd do better to tell your flock to spend their gold in brothels and taverns. Our dark lord Malyc will burn down your pathetic fields and replant them with the seeds of true chaos. All supporters of this folly cause have been warned.

Sincerely,

Sebastian,

Know that you only must turn from the darkness and the Light will forgive. Though your ilk have caused much hardship to me, you but only need to remove from yourself the thought of evil intent, and the Light will forgive. Though you may face the law of Man, understand that our holy lord Valos shall know your true thoughts, and if it is to Galladel that you must go, you go with the Compassion of Andorra, and your life, like all life is sacred and watched by Gaia, and your spirit will be judged fairly by Galladel, and through all of this, the Light of Valos will guide.

If you refuse, if you believe to truly in the Darkness, then instead of the Light, then I am sorry for you. I will feel pain for one lost who if only could have seen the light, could have been a true worker of good.

You can cover the light, but it will shine. You can extinguish the light, but it will rekindle. You can strike at the light, but it will strike back.

Father Lucas Brand, Servant of the Light

To hide behind words alone is to show cowardice, and to this point I will prove.

Father Daemos, I will be happy to help you.

Squire Brand and to all others that have offered their help in this matter. I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart. With Many hands, we will make light work of this endevour. Right now my plan is going to start with Potatoes in the early spring, then plant Wheat and corn near the end of spring. This should give us the best possible yield for all the crops.

Likewise, in Loch Moin all able bodies lent a hand to the farming no matter what your stock in trade.

I will gladly turn the thumbs of my strumming hands green in the name of feeding the hungry. Just tell me when and where and I am needed and I will make the arrangements to be there. Additionally, I am certain that many members of our famaily and our household staff would gladly lend a couple hours of their day to such a task were I to ask them. I will speak to them and get back to you on that.

Warmest Regards,
