Oh look, fleeting and useless laws are bypassed by another sheet of paper being tacked up somewhere else up on this wall.
Laws are pointless.
Your gods are useless.
You are all too weak to be initiated into the darkness of Malyc, so don't ask me to be baptized.
You aren't worthy.
Go pray to Galladell, I hear they take anyone in that sect.
He took an Aguaran, with no questions asked as best I can tell.
Don't ask me to understand Malyc, you never will.
Don't pray to Malyc, he will not answer you.

If laws are pointless, wouldn't you have just broken the law and tack it on that other piece of paper?
Surely, to those who the law is pointless to, especially one who follows Malyc, breaking someones order would have been such an easy thing to do.

However, I commend you for doing what you needed to say what you had wanted.

Wotcher Mister Eicks,

How marvellous! From what you've written here, I am irresistibly tempted to extrapolate that you, yourself, are a worshipper of the deity Malyc. Are you likely to be staying in Travance for any significant amount of time over the next few weeks? If it's no bother to you, I'd very much like to ask you about your cultural practices - do you suppose you'd be available to join me for tea at some point?

You're quite right, I'll more than likely never understand the complexities of your traditions - but, then, that's partly what makes them so fiendishly intriguing! What larks, eh?

Very good Mister Eicks. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
