Winterdark Masquerade Ball!
Lords and Ladies, Knights, Squires, Subjects of Travance! Count Sebastian Everest invites you to join him and his court at his yearly Masquerade Ball to be held on Saturday October the 18th, at the Black Keep in the land of Winterdark!
This year’s Ball will be, without question or doubt, simply the Event of the Season! As always, guests are to dress in their finest and don a mask to add to the opulence, the glamor and the sheer magnificence of the evening. Please be reminded that His Excellency will not tolerate the bearing of weapons in his Palace; as such, even attuned weapons will be checked at the door.
Guests will be admitted at five o'clock post meridiem and will be announced as they enter His Grace’s Grand Ballroom.
In years past we have chosen to hold a series of games and events to further the enjoyment of our guests, and this year will be no different! Winners will be given prizes and glory for their efforts, and we encourage each and every one of you to partake. So without any further ado, our events for the evening:
6:00 PM - Feasting
After all introductions have been made the Counts Feasting Hall will be open and all will be encouraged to partake in a fine array of tastes to gorge yourselves on.
7:30 PM - Competition of Song
Let your voices ring out and your music take flight! This competition will be divided into two separate categories, vocal and instrumental performance. Our judges are looking for musicality, quality of performance, range of tonal color and, of course, emotional discharge! Prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category.
8:00 - Promenade
Learn the very latest and most traditional steps danced in nearly every kingdom and empire! Details yet to come…
9:00 – Gambling Starts
Gambling will run through most of the night.
10:00 - Competition of Storytelling
Spin us a yarn, tell us a tale, intrigue us with stories of the past!
11:30 - Competition of Fashion
At the end of the night, three unknown judges will have convened to discuss and vote on the winners of this years fashion contest. Best Five Male and Best Five Female Fashion. Be sure to show off and brag of your attire to the Count as he will surely have a hand in the judging. Prizes will be awarded
Special Announcements
Throughout the evening the Count may make some special announcements!
“Assassin”
The game “Assassin” will be run by Lord Tartaros! You are given a red dot and a target. You must place the red dot on the target unnoticed for three seconds to “Kill” your target and take their remaining target. Last assassin standing wins a prize. If you have interest in joining this game you must send a missive to Lord Tartaros so he may properly prepare the materials. ((PM: Aleister))

Replied by Gallion (Gallion) on topic Winterdark Masquerade Ball!
Two amendments to the above announcement.
Poetry Contest
There will in fact be a poetry contest separate from the story telling contest. Its time slot will be decided by Croi who will once again preside over this grand party. The schedule for the nights activities is subject to last minute shifting.
Bank of Travance Funds
Guests will be able to spend gold from the bank of travance on "good faith". No represenative from the bank will be present (oog-no cards), and so there will be no way to confirm your funds. Before planning to leave the proper through the gates of passage we suggest you consult with the bank officials from your local bank (oog check your card on-line). Anyone who is found to be betraying this credit given in good faith by not being able to back it up from funds in the bank of travance in the weeks following the ball will be brought before the Count at the next Baronial Feast.
