Members of the Adventurers Guild,
I am sure you might not recall all of the deeds you perform as mighty heroes of Travance, however, belated as it is, we must thank you for one. Several months ago you destroyed a cave entrance not far from our small village of Thornedale. We heard from one of our tradesmen a month later that this was being used to send reinforcements to some dreadful army that used an ooze to possess people.
Our village would certainly have been in the warpath of such a thing and without doubt survived only through your efforts. I have gathered our merchants and craftsmen so that we can put together a reward for you and dispatched couriers with it, considering the distance from Travance I suspect they should arrive sometime near midnight to find your guildhall. Please, assemble your members so that this reward can be distributed. I hear that bandits are common to Travance as well, they should be arriving by the outskirts near where the Romani leave their caravans should any of your number wish to escort them to your hall.
If ever any of you find yourselves near Thornedale, you are most welcome to our hospitality.
