You speak of hope. That is good, but what is just as important is the will to fight. Back home we have a saying: "Nothing gets inside a closed fist." For as long as a single one of us decides we will keep fighting....we have not lost.

To all of you that will be staying in Travance I wish you luck, and I will pray for you all.

It is possible to hope and not believe in one's own hopes. What we need is faith. Faith in our gods. Faith in our future. Faith in our leaders. Faith in ourselves.

Many will, certainly, fall. But we must have faith that, so long as one newcomer still breathes, that this Barony, this land of opportunity, shall not perish.

Tell those you have faith in that you have faith in them. Be it by missive, or face to face. For faith strengthens and begets faith.

Save your flowery crap for when you're dying in the dirt.
Your slave drivers don't care about your faith in them.

Would someone be so kind as to explain to me why Telligrim searching for his missing wife in Travance is a casus belli?

An insane black dragon going anywhere is a cause for concern, especially when he is backed with undead legions.

Not just the undead legions, in all likelihood we will also have to deal with the powers of Sevenlore, The Arcanum, and what remains of the Discordians and the Pentir Knights.

Could you elaborate on the latter half? Before this moment, no one mentioned that the Discordian were making a return this moon.

Often the words we use lose meaning over time. Evernight is an entire continent of evil and corruption. Not just the undead. Unholy supernatural powers from all walks of life exist there. So if Telegrim marches upon us. Assume the worst. Assume he's utilizing every weapon at his disposal to get his wife back. I know I would. And it's not just the Discordians or the Pentir, The Council or the Oubliette could be involved. Undead are the least of our worries. Worry about men with swords made of the weave, or tarot cards, or mortal hunters, or the shadows rending your mind inside out and making you kill your friends. But don't think for a moment we will just be dealing with throngs of skeletons and zombies. Those are merely the pawns to watch what we will do. To wear us down until they are done toying with us and actually decide to fight.

No matter what we encounter, we will have to be who we are. Some of us may find our courage fail and be tempted to flee what comes, without fully knowing what we face. For the rest of us however, we will do what we must this Feast, as we always have and as I daresay always will.

The coming days may find us tested, even perhaps in ways bested by these invaders. The War is never won or lost in a single battle, so never think one loss equals defeat.

For many of us our fate is simple. Look to your Lords, stand by the Knights of our Barony. Defend those weaker, support those who are strong. Assist the commoners who are in harms way. Consider these as, if nothing else, your way to contribute this Feast.

May Valos grant your sword arm strength, and His shield protect you and yours.

We have faced worse. We have fought worse. We have slain worse.
