The holy day of Valos will be celebrated this Feast. It is a time of bounty, being at the beginning of Harvest, and a reaffirmation to bring the Light into our lives.
The holy day is celebrated in three parts. These are Almsday, the Celebration of Valos' marriage to Andorra, and Valor's Rest. Each are celebrated in three consecutive days.
The first, on Friday, will be Almsday. That is a day of humility and charity, where Clergy go door to door collecting donations, usually of food or drink, but currency as well, called Alms. These are collected for the feast on Valor's Rest.
On Saturday, will be a traditional ceremony in which a symbolic marriage between the God, Valos and Goddess Andorra, will be held. Any interested in becoming married, please join us and take part as a couple in this joyous day! Those baptized to the Light may elect to embody the God or Goddess, themselves, and unite them in holy matrimony. Additionally Saturday night a Great Light, a lamp, is lit symbolizing the Holy Light of Valos. Residents can bring a candle to light at the lamp to light their own lamps in turn, symbolically bringing the Light into their home.
Finally Valor's Rest is celebrated on Sunday, the day named for Valos' holy symbol. This will be a time of rest, celebration and feasting. The Alms collected are shared with the town and given to all. Traditionally the Celebration continues until the Great Light burns down late in the evening.
May Valos Bless and Keep you all safe behind his Shield.

"The sacred writings are quite specific on the subject of killing, but are a bit fuzzier on the topic of kneecaps."
