People of Travance,
There has been much ado lately concerning whatever the hell it is Necrophitus is up to at the site of the Quartz Mountain Academy. Due to its distance, learning anything concrete has been... difficult. Tonight, after midnight, myself and several other Travancians will be attempting a large and complex divination ritual to discover what is going on. Some of you have spoken with Tari already about this.
This will be taking place in the Dragon's Claw, as it's one of the few places large enough for this. More details will be given for those who choose to participate in person, but the short of it is that it's a combined psionic/sorcery/divine ritual based around a full 78-card tarot spread using any ties to Necrophitus or the Academy that we can pull together, including memories. You do not need to have any of these in order to participate; you don't even need any casting ability at all. All you need is a modicum of patience and imagination*. This ritual would normally take about 3-4 hours to complete with a single caster; it is our hope that the more people we have, the less time it will take.
If you are interested, I will be in the Inn shortly after the Feast begins, and most likely will not leave (except to the back porch). I realize "after midnight" is a bit of a wide range, but we are waiting for the stars to be right for the exact moment to begin.
*No, you don't need to be sober, just so long as you don't knock anything over.

Lois,
Unfortunately I do not think I will be in the proper at that time. I would, however, like to be appraised of what the results of the divination are. Thank you in advanced Lois and good luck.

If it ends up being after my time at the War Table tonight, I would be happy to assist.

Thank you to everyone who participated. There were some faces that were new to me around the ritual table; I looked for you later in the Feast so I could speak to you about what was going on and why we were doing this, but was unable to find you. Please, reach out to me, and I will tell you everything you want to know.
We were able to see what Necrophitus was doing up at the Academy. He had an army of undead as far as we could see digging - to judge from the depth of the digging, he has been at this since shortly after his defeat last year - and he found a book written in an ancient arcane language. We were unable to read the text at the time, but the book looked to be about as old as the Academy itself.
He was not building anything at the time, though he has had ample opportunity to do so. I do not know if this means he does not intend to make the Academy ruins his base of operations, or he merely chose to focus on the digging at first.
He is not yet corporeal. He is much weaker than he was when we fought him before, but still more powerful than most enemies we have faced.
He didn't care that we were watching until after he had found the book. At that point, he spoke to us and made it clear he doesn't believe we will be able to stop him again. For this reason, it is unlikely he will suddenly be rushing whatever his plan is just because he knows we were looking. He doesn't believe we're a threat. This may be our greatest asset in the future.

The language in the book is the same language as his Eidolich ritual, but it is not the same document. I will be doing research over the next few months using his original ritual to attempt to decipher any information we can, if anyone would like to help.
