My name is Nesterin and I am a Selendrian druid. I have spoken to a handful of you but i feel there are more of you that I have not spoken to. Should you ever need any assistance in Travance please do not hesitate to ask. If I cannot help you personally I will find someone who can.

I do believe we have met Nesterin, not long after my father had found me in Travance. As a short-term leader of Sanctuary myself, I would also urge any displaced citizens to speak with me as well. I hope to make our transition into Travance as painless as possible. As far as the Skylari are concerned, though this is not the method we seeked to use (I would like to believe our final methods would have involved far less deaths) this is precisely what we have been working for.

Dearest Mercians,

I am beyond relieved to hear that more of our number have been recovered than previously thought. Before we all settle into this new land and find our place among the people of Travance, I ask that any who are literate send me a missive detailing any and all recollections of their time on Mercy. I would like to compile a history of our people and our island before our own minds deteriorate and lose her memory forever. If you know any Mercians who cannot read this posting, please send them to me at the next Baronial feast so I may gather their oral recollections as well.

To the former Residents of Mercy and the Barony of Travance,

First and foremost, I wish to thank those of the Barony who rescued us from the icy depths of the waters surrounding what use to be our isle of Mercy. Though it pains me that many of our brothers and sisters did not survive the battle that fateful night, it is good to see that those who did have found a home within this new land. For those who wish to question my brothers and sisters of Mercy, I only ask that you please respect some of our silence while we try to come to grips with what we have lost.

With that said, I feel as though it is only right to say the following in an open forum. Those who were cast outside the great walls of Sanctuary, the "Branded" as I have heard was the common tongue's word for us, met the great dragon Tellegrim in battle shortly before the isle of Mercy was destroyed. We fought to protect our home and rid the world of a great atrocity. Though he was weakened and in human-form, we all fell while defending a town who turned us away while our home crumbled beneath our feet. It seems that Mercy saved a few of us from the clutches of being the undead servants of the Winged Calamity.

Though we have fought in the past and disagreed with political views over governance and guidance, I ask that those of Mercy attempt to put aside our differences. If you see one that wears the brand, do not think ill of them as we gave our lives to defend those who looked down upon our ways. We are all that is left of that island and we should respect its decision to save those it did.

If those who bare the Brand wish to speak with with one of their own, please send a raven my way.

I have seen the terrible fury and soul-corrupting power of Tellegrim with my own eyes. We must be united with the world if we wish to stand in defense our new home.

Brothers and sisters of Mercy, whether you be Adherent, Skylari, Illumar, or of the Branded, I would like to have some sort of memorial service for those who are no longer with us. Let us coordinate to honor our fallen.

If you happen to practice the dark arts, please refrain, and burn any scrolls of the dark stuff you might have, until such time as you can petition for a writ. I have been instructed on how to go about it, so if you need one, please contact me.

I do not know how long Travance will give you to fall in line with their laws, so I suggest petitioning as soon as possible.

I will be in the Adventurer's Guild until I find a better place, or until they kick me out. It's quite a nice place actually, and suggest that you all look into it.

Lastly, if you haven't heard, we were able to save a portion of Mercy. How much, we do not yet know. Know that she is in a safe place while we can determine how much of her survived. Incidentally, if anyone could do some research on the subject, please contact me.

You were subject to our laws the moment you arrived. If you are in need of escort, being so unfamiliar with Travance especially, call upon a Baronial Guardsman. We are obliged to assist and will do so when asked.

On behalf of those from Mercy, I would like to say that the outpouring of assistance to our people is overwhelming. I cannot thank the citizens of Travance enough. It would more than be my continued pleasure to assist in pointing citizens of Mercy in the right way in best interest for our people as a whole.

Though I do not have much to offer in the way of Travancian resources and currency, my father owns a small property within Alisandria, and any refugees who cannot find a home to place themselves in are more than welcome to it, instead of sleeping out on the open roads. Unfortunately we do not have much else to offer but shelter, but I am sure by working together with the citizens of Travance, we will not be displaced long.

My name is Ilana Darkwood and I am one of the physicians roaming the barony. Though it sounds like many people are willing to help, I would offer lodging for anyone who needs somewhere to stay and they'd feel safe.

The Blessings of Valos upon you for rescuing us from the accursed island of Mercy.

Do not let the darkness cloud your light, the outcasts from our previous society on Mercy are not to be trusted and include many foul creatures and worshipers of evil. These creatures were thrown beyond our walls for crimes and atrocities that any Kingdom or civilization would abhor; assault, murder, practicing cannibalism and demon worship.

The brand they bear is a symbol of service to a demon that lead them.

The "good doctor" as he calls himself was chief amongst these horrible abominations and his experiments involved injected some foul green concoction into his unwilling subjects. He bears the symbol of the raven, as well as his demonic brand.

I know not the names of the rest of the outcasts, but would recognize them when they surface again. If the Holy Church of Kormyre so desires, I will aid in what way I can to see that these creatures are brought to justice.

Many of the leaders on the island did not see the Holy Light and allowed creatures from all areas of darkness amongst them. Just because a man claims to be of an accepted faction of the island, does not mean he is not a necromancer or dark priest or worse. I would caution you to vet any survivor of the island of Mercy before accepting them.

Welcome to Travance. The Church here in Travance welcomes any follower of the Light. I am Templar Aldric, in service to Valos as Priest and Templar. Confessor was a title used by the old Office of Inquisition, if I recall correctly. We should meet so I may assist you in transition to our Barony.

Great news to know you're alive and well, but let's not be so hasty to accuse anyone of still trying to eat other folks, that's just a terrible thought.
Now I'd like to think that almost drowning in the ocean is a mighty bad and eye opening experience. A new look on life perhaps, or even a great turn around in understanding about the world around us all! How exciting for a great new adventure!
We shouldn't jump to any conclusions, lest we misjudge someone! Can't appreciate life if we're going to end it for someone who just got a chance to change their own.

It is good to see you are alive and well, despite your apparent distaste for my own well-being. I hope those other members of your band of "Inquisitors" have made full recoveries from their near watery graves. If you are in need of any medical assistance, do not hesitate to send a raven my way while I tend to those wounded in Pandarvin.

Regarding the Branded, many of my comrades were not even allowed entry into the town until the Stranger's arrival and even then only sought the safety of the city for our people. So hold your tongue regarding us being cast outside the walls for crimes when some, like myself, were unable to enter because of my scars and former stations in life. The Branded and other Outcasts cared for our own and shared what we could with those who came with peaceful intentions. Ask Mrs. Knox or the eager Veterinarian who I instructed for a brief time if you would like to follow up on this with citizens of Sanctuary.

Regarding my "experiments", I never preformed medical treatment on anyone unwillingly. The vial of green liquid was a remedy I improvised on the island to quicken healing. Its something that I learned during my time serving in the Londwynian army as a field medic. If you note, not a single man or woman fell while I was near and allowed to tend to their wounds.

Regarding the symbols I bare, my personal philosophy is that one shouldn't hide their history. My burn scars come from my former friends turning on me due to my faith. My brand comes from being accepted into a group who judged me on my actions and not any predefined conceptions of good or evil. My raven-skull necklace reminds me of an event that changed my entire outlook on life and gave me the resolve to escaped the war-torn Fields of Mandalia.

Do not be so quick to judge others, less you also be judged. Not all of your comrades actions were in the name of the "Light," good Confessor. Just remember that those you condemn were the first to fight the great Dragon hoping only that our fall would give you all enough time to safeguard Mercy. And if what Dirge has said about a piece being safeguarded, then many of my fellows final wishes were satisfied.

To the many others who have responded, thank you for your kindness. I look forward to working with you all as we adjust to our new surroundings.

I dinnae know exactly 'ow you Kormyrians 'andle rescue at Sea, but to cast in my pers'nal anikdote, there's no cases where you judge a Man thrashing for his Life in the Foam.

I've been at the loading end of scores of cannons, and have fed many foes to the Foam. But I never lef' a single soul I spied behind, if'n I could find them with even the most curs'ry of glances.

We 'ad a code on deck. A man whom the Sea deems fit fer us to find is fit fer us to let Live. Regardless of their past. 'N' if ye know 'em ta be shady characters, then that 'olds true especially regardin' their past in relation to ye, their patron. Their salvation.
